Stride recently delivered a series of free careers workshops in partnership with The Charity Hub Yorkshire through Striding Forward CIC, supporting neurodivergent adults across Doncaster to build confidence and take positive steps towards employment.

The workshops were designed for unemployed and low-income neurodivergent adults, providing a supportive and inclusive space where participants could explore their strengths, develop transferable skills, create CVs, practise interview techniques, and discover new career opportunities.

Building Confidence and Future Opportunities

For many people, taking the next step towards employment can feel difficult without the right support around them.

These workshops were created to help participants recognise their abilities, understand the value they can bring to the workplace, and feel more confident about future opportunities.

Delivered by the Stride team, the sessions combined practical careers guidance with person-centred support, helping learners work at a pace that felt right for them.

Olivia Hirst, Lead Practitioner and Tutor at Stride, said:

“Engagement was excellent throughout, and it was encouraging to see learners become more confident in their abilities and optimistic about their future employment prospects.”

Partnership with Practical Impact

At The Charity Hub, we are proud to support work that creates real opportunities for people across our communities.

This programme is a strong example of what partnership working can achieve when organisations come together around a shared purpose.

By working with Stride and Striding Forward CIC, these workshops helped create a positive space for neurodivergent adults to build confidence, develop practical employment skills, and look ahead to the future with greater optimism.

A huge thank you to the Stride team, Striding Forward CIC, and everyone who came along and took part.
