We are excited to confirm that Andy from OSMIS will be joining us as the main speaker at our next Charity Hub networking event on Thursday 9 July.
Andy will be sharing his journey of building and growing OSMIS over the years, including his experience working with children, young people, and families through alternative provision.
For anyone working in education, youth support, family services, community projects, or the wider VCFSE sector, this promises to be an honest, practical, and inspiring session.
A Talk Rooted in Real Experience
Alternative provision plays an important role in supporting children and young people who may not thrive within mainstream education settings.
Through his work with OSMIS, Andy has gained valuable insight into the challenges, responsibilities, and opportunities that come with working in this space.
During the session, Andy will be talking about the role and importance of alternative provision, what he has learned from growing an organisation, and how OSMIS has developed over time.
He will also be sharing more about the challenges and opportunities of working with children, young people, and families, as well as the new charity he is launching and the impact he hopes it will create.
Why This Session Matters
The Charity Hub events are designed to bring people together, share useful knowledge, and create space for conversations that can lead to stronger local connections.
Andy’s talk is a great example of that.
It will offer attendees the chance to hear directly from someone who has built an organisation within a complex and important area of support, while also learning more about the work happening locally to support children, young people, and families.
Join Us on Thursday 9 July
Our July Charity Hub networking event will bring together charities, CICs, community organisations, suppliers, businesses, and local partners for a morning of connection, collaboration, and shared learning.
Alongside Andy’s guest speaker session, there will be opportunities to network, meet others across the sector, hear updates from The Charity Hub, and explore ways to support one another.
If you work with children, young people, families, education, community support, or the wider voluntary sector, this is a session worth being in the room for.
