SWEF Enterprise and Business Grants
About the fund
The SWEF Enterprise and Business Grants scheme, delivered locally by South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation, helps young entrepreneurs meet essential costs they could not otherwise afford. Start-up grants provide up to £500, while the established business strand can offer up to £2,000 towards equipment, materials, stock and services.
Who can apply
Applicants must be individual entrepreneurs aged 18–30 living in South Yorkshire and from low-income households or facing other barriers to starting or developing a business. The established business strand has additional trading and turnover conditions. The programme does not cover personal wages or ordinary living costs and is not a grant for charities as organisations.
Applications
Application forms for both strands are available through the SYCF webpage. No fixed scheme-wide closing date is published; check the latest guidance for eligibility and submission requirements.
