About the fund

The Screwfix Foundation provides grants of up to £5,000 for repair, maintenance, improvement or construction work on buildings used by people experiencing financial hardship, sickness, distress or other disadvantage in the UK.

Who can apply

Applicants must be registered charities or registered not-for-profit organisations, have an online presence, use the award within 12 months and provide an update after the work is completed. Organisations funded by the Foundation within the last two years cannot reapply. General-use community centres, schools, sports clubs and uniformed groups are excluded.

Closing date

The current quarterly round accepts applications received up to 10 November 2026. The portal describes the cut-off as midnight on the 10th; applicants should submit early because it does not clarify whether this means the start or end of that date.
