National Lottery Awards for All England – Environment

About the fund

This National Lottery Community Fund programme offers £300 to £20,000 for community-led environmental activity in England. Projects must help people connect with and care for nature locally or make a positive difference to the environment. Funding can support new or continuing activity, organisational adaptation and one-off events with a clear environmental benefit.

Who can apply

Constituted voluntary and community organisations, groups and clubs, registered charities, CIOs, not-for-profit companies, CICs, community benefit societies and statutory bodies can apply. Schools are eligible only for work that benefits the wider community beyond their normal responsibilities. Applicants need at least two unrelated directors or committee members.

Applications

The programme is open to applications with no published closing date, so it is treated as rolling. Decisions currently take around 16 weeks. An organisation cannot apply to this environmental strand while it already holds an Awards for All grant.
