Garfield Weston Foundation Regular Grants

About the fund

The Garfield Weston Foundation's Regular Grants programme supports UK charities working in arts, community, education, environment, faith, health, museums and heritage, welfare and youth. Applications below £100,000 can support operating or core costs, specific projects and capital work.

Who can apply

Eligible organisations include UK registered charities, CIOs and organisations that are exempt or excepted under Charity Commission guidance. Applicants need at least one year of annual accounts and work must take place in the UK or UK Overseas Territories. The Foundation does not fund CICs, new organisations without accounts or work that will finish before a decision, which currently takes around four to six months.

Funding conditions

For project and capital requests, the Foundation generally expects around half of the overall cost to be secured and its grants tend to cover about 10% to 20% of total project costs.

Applications

The Regular Grants portal is open and no fixed closing date is published. Organisations can submit one application at a time and must normally wait 12 months after a grant or declined application before reapplying.
